Armenian companies have exported this year a total of 40,053 metric tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, the ministry of agriculture reported today saying also that the figure was up from 25,719 metric tons exported in the same time span in 2014.

YEREVAN, July 6. / ARKA /. Armenian companies have exported this year a total of 40,053 metric tons of fresh fruits and vegetables, the ministry of agriculture reported today saying also that the figure was up from 25,719 metric tons exported in the same time span in 2014.

So, as of July 6, exports of apricot rose to 14,463 metric tons, up from 1,791 tons for the entire 2014. Armenian companies and farmers have exported so far 1,324 tons of sweet cherries, up from 370 tons for 2014.

According to the ministry of agriculture, cherries were exported to Russia, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Georgia, the United Arab Emirates and Switzerland. -0-
