Armenian government to expand leasing program

An Armenian government program, designed to facilitate lease of agricultural machines and equipment by processing companies will be expanded next year, Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
YEREVAN, December 26. / ARKA /. An Armenian government program, designed to facilitate lease of agricultural machines and equipment by processing companies will be expanded next year, Economy Minister Tigran Khachatryan said at a government meeting on Thursday.
He said the expansion is prompted by the request of local wineries, which want the program to incorporate special equipment they use. The minister said the expansion will also benefit greenhouses and refrigeration facilities.
"In addition, we are raising the loan ceiling from 230 million drams to 450 million drams. The interest rate is 11%, however, 7% will be subsidized by the government," Khachatryan said.
The minister said 98 applications have been received already worth 2.4 billion drams. -0-
