YEREVAN, October 6. /ARKA/. Armenian grape processing enterprises have already purchased this year some 90,000 metric tons of grape, deputy minister of agriculture Robert Makaryan said today. Speaking at a news conference, he said the procurement process is going on across wine-growing areas with no problems or difficulties.

Regarding the delays in payments for grape, Makaryan said a new payment scheme will be developed soon to pay farmers for their grape in due time. The scheme is expected to start operating from next year, he said.

He also said that Vedi Alco company has paid the bulk of debts it owed to the residents of the wine-growing village Aghavnadzor in Vayots Dzor province.

According to the ministry of agriculture, in 2015 Armenian grape processing enterprises bought a total of 216,800 metric tons of grapes, which was 32,700 tons or 17.8% more than in the same period in 2014. ($ 1 - 473.86 drams). IV -0-
