Armenian lawmakers down turnover tax for waste-recycling companies

Armenia’s National Assembly gave Thursday its unanimous approval to amendments to the turnover tax law.

YEREVAN, February 4. /ARKA/. Armenia’s National Assembly gave Thursday its unanimous approval to amendments to the turnover tax law.
Vardan Ayvazyan, the head of the parliament’s economic committee, the amendments down turnover tax for waste recycling companies from 5% to 1.5%.
This tax preference, he said, will stimulate waste recycling in Armenia.
Ayvazyan said there are similar preferences in other countries.
In his words, the preference targets a period between July 1, 2015 and December 31, 2018. ---0---
