Armenian ministry of agriculture urges farmers to fight rodents

The Armenian ministry of agriculture said today it has recorded the spread of rodents in several regions of the country urging farmers to take swift and adequate measures to to fight the mice, otherwise they will cause substantial damage to their orchards, vineyards, as well as winter crops during the upcoming months.

The Armenian ministry of agriculture said today it has recorded the spread of rodents in several regions of the country urging farmers to take swift and adequate measures to to fight the mice, otherwise they will cause substantial damage to their orchards, vineyards, as well as winter crops during the upcoming months.
The ministry said it is implementing a large-scale program to combat rodents to prevent possible damages and help farmers. Particularly, in areas where the rodents are abundant regional administrations provide farmers with chemical "Rodifakum C" free, as well as fact sheets how to use the chemical.
"The Ministry of Agriculture advises land users to follow the experts’ advice in the shortest possible time and complete the fight against rodents by strictly observing safety requirements", - a press release says.
In case of questions land users can contact the experts of regional centers to promote agriculture. Contact details can be found on the official website of the ministry of agriculture. If necessary, the implementation of the program will continue in 2017, it said. -0-
