Armenian pharmaceutical company Pharmatech will invest 4.2 billion drams in the modernization of production, Economic Development and Investments Minister Tigran Khachatryan said during a government meeting on Thursday.

Armenian pharmaceutical company Pharmatech will invest 4.2 billion drams in the modernization of production, Economic Development and Investments Minister Tigran Khachatryan said during a government meeting on Thursday. The government provided the company today with a set of customs duty benefits.
According to the Minister, Pharmatech has been operating in Yerevan since 1997 and is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies. He said the company plans to spend the 4.2 billion drams on the purchase of raw materials and equipment. Raw materials will be used for the production of intravenous infusion fluids, ampoules and eye drops.
According to the minister, the company has 69 employees on its payrolls today, and is going to hire another 6-10 workers and pay them an average salary of 160 thousand drams.
He said that the investment will enable the company to produce 4.8 billion drams worth products, of which 2.8 billion drams will be sold in Armenia and the rest exported to other countries. ($ 1 - 483.4 drams). -0-
