Armenian president visits fish farm in Gegharkunik province

Serzh Sargsyan, the president of Armenia, visited Saturday Gegharkunik province’s Karchakhbyur village to see the Sevan Trout fish-breeding and fish-processing farm that is being built there.

YEREVAN, November 30. /ARKA/. Serzh Sargsyan, the president of Armenia, visited Saturday Gegharkunik province’s Karchakhbyur village to see the Sevan Trout fish-breeding and fish-processing farm that is being built there.
Edward Gevorgyan, CEO of Sevan Trout CJSC, said the construction of the farm was launched in 2014. Total investments amount to about AMD 2.5 billion. The construction is planned to be completed in 2016.
At the first stage, he said, facilities for breeding baby fishes (200 tons annual output) and a plant for processing fishes (600 tons a year) will be built and pedigree.
Gevorgyan said that that the company may earn $150-200 million from sales. --0---
