Small and medium-sized Armenian companies will be allowed to export up to $5,000 worth products to several former Soviet republics making the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) without an expertise identifying the country of origin, economy minister Karen Chshmarityan told a Cabinet session today.

Small and medium-sized Armenian companies will be allowed to export up to $5,000 worth products to several former Soviet republics making the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) without an expertise identifying the country of origin, economy minister Karen Chshmarityan told a Cabinet session today.
The Armenian government has approved on Thursday the signing of a protocol amending the agreement on rules of identification of the country of origin in the CIS.
The minister said the changes are aimed at simplifying the procedures for determining the country of origin for the purpose of promotion of exports of goods produced by SMEs.
Under the amendments, the identification of the country of origin for SMEs exporting goods worth up to $5,000 will be made by using the principle of self-declaration, the minister said.-0-
