Armenian SRC reveals deliberate bankruptcy case

Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) said today it has exposed a case of deliberate bankruptcy, which caused the state 200 million drams in damage.
YEREVAN, September 23. /ARKA/. Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) said today it has exposed a case of deliberate bankruptcy, which caused the state 200 million drams in damage.
According to a SRC press release, during 2019- 2020 citizen E.S. acting on behalf of "Gev Gar" and "Erem" LLC companies was engaged in import of grain crops and seeds from Russia . Overall, he imported and sold crops and seeds worth about 950 million drams.
According to SRC, intending to avoid the tax liabilities of 200 million drams that arose as a result of his entrepreneurial activity, he deliberately presented himself as insolvent, causing large damage to the state.
The citizen E.S. was discovered and detained. The SRC officers have also carried out searches at various addresses, seizing a set of documents important for the case.
A suspect or accused of an alleged crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty according to a court ruling that has entered into legal force, in accordance with the procedure established by the Armenian Criminal Procedure Code ($1 - 485.42 drams). -0-
