Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) said it has created an alternative platform for economic entities to make their tax payments electronically.

YEREVAN, May 8. /ARKA/. Armenia's State Revenue Committee (SRC) said it has created an alternative platform for economic entities to make their tax payments electronically.
It said business entities and individuals are now able to fulfill their tax obligations on its electronic reporting platform by using their credit cards.
'In other words, amid the coronavirus outbreak, taxpayers can carry out the entire process, from reporting to paying taxes, without visiting the SRC or their bank,' SRC said.
Previously, taxpayers visited a bank or used electronic banking platforms to make payments, but today the whole process of reporting and fulfilling tax obligations can be carried out on one electronic platform, the SRC added.
"If during a visit to the bank the company’s data were sometimes entered with errors when making payments, the new system eliminates such omissions, because when entering the system, the data of the business entity are immediately identified," said Arsen Gharibyan, head of a SRC department in charge of information exchange and management.
In case of successful payment, a notification is sent to the taxpayer’s email, while a message about the problems appears on the taxpayer’s page, located on the electronic reporting platform.
The new system makes payments instant, and liabilities from banks are transferred to the treasury account within one business day.
The SRC said it is elaborating another opportunity for taxpayers to fulfill their tax obligations by using their bank accounts. -0-
