Armenian telecom operators’ taxes for 9 months down from the year ago

Armenia’s three telecommunications companies –ArmenTel, ViaCell-MTS and Ucom - paid a total of 23.7 billion drams in various taxes for the first 9 months of 2016, down from 29.4 billion drams they had paid for the same time span in 2015, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

YEREVAN, November 1. /ARKA/. Armenia’s three telecommunications companies –ArmenTel, ViaCell-MTS and Ucom - paid a total of 23.7 billion drams in various taxes for the first 9 months of 2016, down from 29.4 billion drams they had paid for the same time span in 2015, according to the State Revenue Committee (SRC).

According to SRC data, 21.8 billion drams were collected by the tax authorities and about 1.8 billion drams by the customs authorities.

VivaCell-MTS (K-Telecom CJSC) paid 10.7 billion drams (7th place in the list of the 1000 largest corporate taxpayers), a decrease of 21.8% when compared to the same period of 2015.

ArmenTel CJSC (trading as Beeline) paid 9.1 billion drams (the 10th place) against 11.8 billion drams, it had paid for the same period in 2015.

Ucom that acquired last September Orange Armenia telecom, paid about 3.8 billion drams (25th place). . In general, the 1000 largest taxpayers paid more than 525 billion drams in various taxes. ( 1 - 475.14 drams). -0-
