Armenian wines win 23 medals at Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Awards

Armenian wine companies won a total of 23 medals–10 gold and 13 silver–at the 2017 Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Awards, held in Germany’s Neustadt on February 23-26, the Armenian ministry of agriculture said.

YEREVAN, March 3. /ARKA/. Armenian wine companies won a total of 23 medals–10 gold and 13 silver–at the 2017 Mundus Vini Grand International Wine Awards, held in Germany’s Neustadt on February 23-26, the Armenian ministry of agriculture said.
Nineteen Armenian winemaking companies showcased their products at the competition, presenting 58 ordinary and sparkling wines.
The jury of the competition consisted of some 200 wine experts from all over the world, including a representative of Armenia. The participation of Armenian winemakers in the event was supported by the Winemaking and Viticulture Foundation of Armenia with assistance of the CBI, a center for promoting imports from developing countries.
By the number of medals Armenia shared 14th place with New Zealand and Hungary.-0-
