YEREVAN, November 5. /ARKA/. Armenia's Food Safety Inspectorate officers have discovered a batch spread at a Yerevan wholesale market intended for import to Azerbaijan.

"A batch of 82.5% fat spread, produced by the Russian Tulchinka LLC, was intended for import into Azerbaijan as evidenced by the marking on the company's label. Part of the spread that was found had no markings in Armenian at all, and the Armenian label found on some boxes testifies that this batch was imported to Armenia by ArtImport LLC.

The sale of the detected batch of the spread has been suspended.

"We ask fellow citizens to be more vigilant and, having found this product at any point of sale, call the hotline of the inspection body at (010) 206040 or (012) 0906090," the Inspectorate said.

Inspectors of the Inspectorate also carry out verification activities at ArtImport LLC in order to find out how the products intended for import to another country ended up in Armenia. --0--
