The amount of cash register receipts printed in Armenia in the first 4 months of 2020 slashed by 20% compared to the same period in 2019, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan told an online news conference today.

YEREVAN, June 3. /ARKA/. The amount of cash register receipts printed in Armenia in the first 4 months of 2020 slashed by 20% compared to the same period in 2019, Deputy Chairman of the State Revenue Committee Artur Manukyan told an online news conference today.
He said the number and amount of cash register receipts printed in January and February was on the rise, but they dropped in March and April due to the negative impact of the coronavirus outbreak.
He noted that the main factor behind the drop was the government's ban on some types of economic activity. According to him, the situation can still improve, if all economic activity fully recovers.
According to the State Revenue Committee, the amount of cash register receipts printed in 2019 was up 20% from the previous year and their number increased by 40%.
Thus, in 2018 some 326 million cash register receipts were printed; in 2019 their number increased by 40% to 457 million.
At the same time, the growth in their turnover increased from 1.65 trillion drams in 2018 to 1.98 trillion drams in 2019. In 2019, compared with 2018, the number of reported breaches of the mandatory requirement to print cash register receipts increased by 14%. ($1 - 482.49 dram). --0--
