Catches of whitefish temporarily banned in Armenia
YEREVAN, 9 December. /ARKA/. Catches of whitefish in Lake Sevan in Armenia will be banned until 20 January due to the spawning period, the police press service reported.
It is noted that until that date police officers together with other interested bodies will continue to carry out preventive measures to stop the sale of illegal catch.
In particular, on 6-8 December, more than 90 kg of whitefish were found in the area of Jil settlement and on the road Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan.
