China to gift 60 million yuans to Armenia for construction of pavilion for Armenian Public Television

The Armenian government approved Thursday a technical and economic cooperation agreement with China, under which it will provide 60 million yuans ($9.7 million) for nothing for construction of a pavilion for the Armenian Public Television.

YEREVAN, March 19. /ARKA/. The Armenian government approved Thursday a technical and economic cooperation agreement with China, under which it will provide 60 million yuans ($9.7 million) for nothing for construction of a pavilion for the Armenian Public Television.
Shavarsh Kocharyan, a deputy foreign minister, presenting the draft agreement, said that China has been providing financial assistance to Armenia every year since 1999.
In his words, the agriculture, health, transport programs for which China has provided money were successful.
The deputy minister also said that China increased its assistance in the last years. Armenia's trade turnover with China amounted to $588.4 million in 2014 – 29.4% more than in 2013. ---0-----
