"The situation is under control and the number of daily tests for coronavirus has reached 1000," he said at a meeting with the prime minister on Wednesday.
A state of emergency to curb the spread of coronavirus was declared in Armenia from March 16 to April 14. The restrictions on free movement and certain types of economic activity introduced on March 24 were valid until April 12 inclusive. On April 13, the government extended the state of emergency for another month - until 17:00 on May 14, 2020 inclusive.
Only food production and trade in grocery stores were allowed initially. From April 13, activities in a number of other areas were allowed.
The April 22 decision has already lifted restrictions from agricultural activity, in particular, the cultivation of perennial crops, livestock, forestry, fishing, and fish production.
In the mining industry, the production of natural gas, iron ore, and the provision of auxiliary services in the field of oil and natural gas are permitted.
Processing and preserving of meat, production of meat products, tobacco products and so on are allowed as well.
Sewing clothes (except for fur), knitwear, shoes, woodworking and some other processing industries are not allowed.
By decision of the commandant, the production of soap, cleaning, washing and polishing agents, perfumes and cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, medical and dental instruments and equipment is allowed.
Wholesale trade in furniture, household goods, iron, clothing, footwear and leather goods is permitted. Wholesale of equipment used in the field of information and telecommunication technologies, retail trade in non-specialized stores, sale of fuel for engines, retail trade in kiosks, pavilions or outside markets is also allowed.

It is also said that in shopping facilities with an area of 20 square meters and more, it is necessary to maintain social distance, providing at least 8 square meters per person, and in stores with an area of less than 20 square meters should not be more than two people at a time.
