Commerce and Industry Chamber awards Mercury prize to flagship Armenian companies

On Friday, the Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber awarded Mercury Prize to a number of Armenian companies which have achievements in 25 nominations.

YEREVAN, October 26. /ARKA/. On Friday, the Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber awarded Mercury Prize to a number of Armenian companies which have achievements in 25 nominations.
Vivacell-MTS, TelCell, LSoft, Unibank, Haypost, SPS Cigaronne and Royal Armenia were among the award winners.
Martin Sargsyan, the chairman of the Armenian Commerce and Industry Chamber, the chosen companies decently represent Armenia either inside the country or outside it and also create jobs.
The award in designed for encouraging domestic companies. The award ceremony was attended by Armenian Prime Minister Hovik Abrahamyan, Vice-Speaker Hermine Naghdalyan, Yerevan Mayor Taron Margaryan as well as some ministers and other officials.
The Yerevan mayor received from the Commerce and Industry Chamber a medal for development of entrepreneurship and contribution to the chamber's activity.
The first award ceremony took place in 2006. The key criteria for choosing award winners are export volume growth, creation of new jobs and search of new markets for exports. ---0----
