Construction drops by 7.5% in Armenia

Construction in Armenia in January-July 2016 fell by 7.6% to 158.7 billion drams when compared to the same period of the past year, the National Statistical Service said.

YEREVAN, September 6. / ARKA /. Construction in Armenia in January-July 2016 fell by 7.6% to 158.7 billion drams when compared to the same period of the past year, the National Statistical Service said.
It said population-funded construction amounted to 38 billion drams or 24% of the entire construction volume (7.8% drop).
Construction funded by corporate organizations was worth 75.5 billion drams or 47% of the overall volume (12% reduction). Construction financed by humanitarian aid was 2.5 billion drams, state budget –financed construction slashed by 27% to 16.6 billion drams or 15% and community-funded construction was worth 2.5 billion drams.
Construction funded by international loans amounted to about 24.5 billion drams or 15.4% of the total having grown by 53%. ($1 – 474.75 drams). —0-
