Corporacion America Airports Head Presents Plans for Developing Armenia’s Airports to Pashinyan

Martin Eurnekian, CEO of Corporacion America Airports, presented the progress of ongoing projects and prospects for expanding operations in the country to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
YEREVAN, September 28. /ARKA/. Martin Eurnekian, CEO of Corporacion America Airports, presented the progress of ongoing projects and prospects for expanding operations in the country to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
According to the Armenian government's press service, the parties discussed, in particular, the development of Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport and Gyumri’s Shirak Airport—both under the company’s concession management—as well as infrastructure improvements and the implementation of other investment projects.
It was noted that these projects aim to develop the aviation market, increase passenger traffic and airport capacity, improve service quality, and support the growth of the tourism industry.
Pashinyan highlighted the importance of the company's work in Armeniaand expressed the government's interest in further developing mutually beneficial cooperation.
Following the meeting, the parties agreed to continue discussions on future areas of cooperation.
The meeting was also attended by Marcelo Wende, CEO of Armenia International Airports, and General Manager Sergey Avetisyan.
Yerevan’s Zvartnots International Airport is operated by Armenia International Airports CJSC under a 30-year concession management agreement signed with the Armenian government in 2001. The company also manages Gyumri’s Shirak Airport. The owner of CJSC Armenia International Airports is the Argentine company American International Airports, which belongs to Eduardo Eurnekian, an Argentine citizen of Armenian descent.
