The Dutch low-cost airline Transavia plans to launch direct flights between Paris (France) and Yerevan (Armenia), Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee told Novosti-Armenia news agency.
YEREVAN, January 20. /ARKA/. The Dutch low-cost airline Transavia plans to launch direct flights between Paris (France) and Yerevan (Armenia), Armenia's Civil Aviation Committee told Novosti-Armenia news agency.
The Civil Aviation Committee said the airline had submitted an application for operating flights between Yerevan and Paris (Orly airport) at the end of December, 2019.
It said the application was under consideration and the decision would be made in the near future. If the application is approved, the first flight will be made on March 31. The cost of tickets has not yet been named. The company is expected to announce the price after the approval of its application.
Today, flights from Yerevan to Paris are operated by Air France with aircraft landing at Charles de Gaulle airport.
The Dutch low-cost airline Transavia is part of the Air France-KLM holding. It is based at Amsterdam Schiphol airport and has a subsidiary Transavia France. The airline's headquarters is also located at Schiphol airport in Haarlemmermer. –0-
