Electrical Networks of Armenia must prioritize serving the populace-Pashinyan

YEREVAN, August 28. /ARКА/. The Electrical Networks of Armenia (ENA should serve the people, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said at a press briefing, answering a question about whether the government plans to implement the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration Court.

"No one can defeat the Republic of Armenia anywhere. This is a long-since closed topic. ENA should serve the people of Armenia. It is excluded that under any scenario ENA will continue to not serve the people of Armenia," he said.

In response to the remark that the government recognizes that the arbitration court's decision must be implemented, Pashinyan asked who exactly recognizes this.

"Whoever expressed such a position should resign and leave. There can be absolutely no such position. The government is me. No one can have a position that contradicts mine. In general, if there are people in the government who have a position that contradicts mine, let them resign right now and leave the buildings, and if not, I will lead them out myself. We won in the arbitration court and defended our position," Pashinyan said.

On July 22, the Defense Council for Samvel Karapetyan, entrepreneur and owner of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, informed that Karapetyan and his family won the emergency arbitration proceedings against the Government of the Republic of Armenia in the case of the nationalization of Electric Networks of Armenia. It is noted that the court prohibited the RA government from confiscating or selling the assets of ENA, changing the composition of ENA's management bodies, revoking ENA's licenses and in any way restricting the company's natural business activities.

In response, the Armenian government stated that the appointment of a temporary manager of ENA does not contradict the decision of the Stockholm Arbitration Court and is aimed at preventing crises and identifying violations in the company's operations.-0-
