The annual Eurasian Week, a two-part event showcasing the member countries of the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) has kicked off today in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.

YEREVAN, October 22. /ARCKA/. The annual Eurasian Week, a two-part event showcasing the member countries of the Russia-led Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) has kicked off today in Armenia’s capital Yerevan.

The main purpose of the event, which consists of an exhibition and a business forum  is to create opportunities for the development of cooperative ties across EEU, strengthen ties between the countries and help them develop their export potential.

Armenia’s acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, the chairman of the EEU Board Tigran Sargsyan and other officials visited the event that will last until October 24.

The gathering has brought to Armenia deputy prime ministers and government ministers of the EEU countries, heads of state corporations and leading businesses as well as officials and business people from partner countries.

Overall, this largest international forum has brought  to Armenia  over 2.5 thousand participants from more than 25 countries, including  the USA, Germany, Switzerland, Belgium, Singapore and China.

This year, the Eurasian Week is being held under the motto "EEU is a  space for business."

The plenary session of the forum, involving deputy prime ministers of the EEU countries, will be devoted to building up the business potential in the context of integration.

The Eurasian Week Forum is an annual event organized by the EEU and the Eurasian Economic Commission. -0-
