Expo Russia-Armenia 2014 kicks off in Yerevan

More than 100 Russian and 30 Armenian companies are showcasing their products an services at the sixth EXPO RUSSIA-ARMENIA 2014 industrial exhibition that kicked off on Wednesday at Expo Yerevan Center in the Armenian capital city.

YEREVAN, 22 October. / ARKA /. More than 100 Russian and 30 Armenian companies are showcasing their products an services at the sixth EXPO RUSSIA-ARMENIA 2014 industrial exhibition that kicked off on Wednesday at Expo Yerevan Center in the Armenian capital city.

The director of the exhibition Svetlana Zabelina told ARKA there is a great interest in both Armenian and Russian companies’ products.

The exhibition features energy, machinery, metallurgy, construction, transport, telecommunications, insurance, agriculture, forestry, medicine, education, mining and food industries. 

A set of events will be organized on the sidelines of the exhibition for Armenian and Russian business people to discuss prospects of expanding economic and innovation cooperation between the two countries in the context of Armenia's membership in the Eurasian Economic Union.

The opening of the exhibition was attended by Russian ambassador to Armenia Ivan Volynkin, chairman of Multi Group Concern’s board of directors Sergey Arustamyan, the head of the Prosperous Armenia party Gagik Tsarukyan, members of the government and MPs. 

The event is a joint effort of the Russian Zarubezh Export Company and Armenian Multi Group. It  is being held under the official patronage of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, with the support of the Russian State Duma and several ministries, as well as the government and the National Assembly of Armenia, the Russian Trade Representation in the Republic of Armenia and the Armenian Development Agency. -0-
