Gagik Tsarukyan to donate AMD 60 million for help to people infected with COVID-19 and for bonuses to doctors

Gagik Tsarukyan, an Armenian businessman and philanthropist, leader of the Prosperous Armenia opposition party, will allocate 60 million drams to help people infected with coronavirus and for bonuses to doctors.
YEREVAN, March 23. /ARKA/. Gagik Tsarukyan, an Armenian businessman and philanthropist, leader of the Prosperous Armenia opposition party, will allocate 60 million drams to help people infected with coronavirus and for bonuses to doctors.
"Since most of the patients are in the Nork infectious diseases hospital, I already took an account number and 35 million drams will be transferred for patients so that they can get everything they need for recovery," he told reporters in parliament.
According to him, another 10 million drams will be allocated specifically for bonus payments to all hospital employees who work from morning to night.
Tsarukyan also said that since there are 20 patients in Gyumri, 10 million drams will be transferred there for the needs of doctors and another 5 million drams for bonuses to medical workers.
From March 16 to April 14, a state of emergency is in force in Armenia with the goal of curbing the spread of coronavirus.
According to the data for the evening of March 22, 194 cases of coronavirus were recorded in Armenia, of which 70-75% have derived from cases in Etchmiadzin and in the workplace. Eleven patients were diagnosed with pneumonia, of which six require intensive care.
Armenian citizens from Iran and Italy (residents of Yerevan, Echmiadzin, Meghri and Charentsavan), people in contact with them as well as one Italian citizen and a visitor from France are among those infected.
Two patients who recovered from the coronavirus recovered and were let out of hospital. ($1 - AMD 493.58). -0--
