GeoProMining helps maintaining sanitary conditions in regions of its presence

GeoProMining, a diversified international mining group (GPM), joined programmes on maintaining sanitary standards in the regions of its presence as part of its environmental projects in Armenia, the company’s press service reported.

YEREVAN, January 25. /ARKA/. GeoProMining, a diversified international mining group (GPM), joined programmes on maintaining sanitary standards in the regions of its presence as part of its environmental projects in Armenia, the company’s press service reported.
The projects are part of the corporate programme Resources for Good aimed at ensuring sustainable development of GeoProMining in the regions where its companies operate, according to the report.
In 2012, GeoProMining implemented a number of projects to support municipal services in Vardenis and Ararat. The company contributed to a purchase of several waste collection vehicles, snow-plows and litterbins. The total project budget exceeded USD 100,000.
According to GPM President Roman Khudoliy, GeoProMining’s social policy is aimed at supporting local communities in resolving their pressing social and economic issues.
“As a responsible investor we hold regular consultations with local authorities and population to determine priority projects and are pleased to support initiatives that help to keep the streets of cities and towns where our employees and their families live clean,” Khudoliy said.
GeoProMining, founded in 2001, is an international, privately held company with a diversified base of gold and other metals assets. GeoProMining is engaged in mining activities in Armenia and the Russian Federation. In Armenia GeoProMining owns two companies – the Agarak Copper and Molybdenum Plant and GPM Gold company developing the Sotk gold mine and managing the Ararat gold factory. -0-
