Head of illegal bookmaker office causes one billion drams damage

Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) said today it revealed an illegal bookmaker office, which caused the government damage in the amount of one billion drams ($2.05 million).
YEREVAN, April 9. /ARKA/. Armenia’s State Revenue Committee (SRC) said today it revealed an illegal bookmaker office, which caused the government damage in the amount of one billion drams ($2.05 million).
It said as part of the criminal case, a citizen of Armenia, identified as S.A. was charged with illegal entrepreneurship.
SRC said S.A. worked as director of the Eurofootbal bookmaker office from November 2018 and without having a license and avoiding payment of state duty in the amount of 500 thousand times the amount of the base fee, organized a lottery and Internet games. He had a license obtained by the Efusoft NV company from the Dutch island of Curaçao. SRC said the preliminary investigation into the case is underway. -0-
