Armenian brandies have a great future if their production technology is refined, Hennessy cognac house brand ambassador Guillaume de Guiteau told Armenian reporters.

YEREVAN, November 25. /ARKA/. Armenian brandies have a great future if their production technology is refined, Hennessy cognac house brand ambassador Guillaume de Guiteau told Armenian reporters.
As part of his visit to Armenia de Guiteau conducted a master class for Armenian journalists, presenting the one century-old history of Hennessy cognacs and revealing the secrets of their production.
During the master class de Guiteau elaborated on the process of cognac production - from the creation of the alcohol, its aging in barrels of French oak, pouring it from one barrel to another, and also revealed the secrets of blending.
"Every year, about 5 million bottles of cognac evaporate, but consumers get a totally unique product, with the rich variety of flavors and aromas.." - de Guiteau said.
He said a commission of seven experts work on the creation of a cognac, who every day at the same hour, in the same room taste a huge amount of the drink.
"There is a variety of brandies, which use a mixture of more than 100 types of alcohol and in this discordant it is possible to isolate a single missing touch and make it perfect," - de Guiteau said.
The brand ambassador admitted that it is his first visit to Armenia. After tasting Armenian brandy he noted its complete and balanced taste, adding, however, that a diversity of flavors would do no harm.
Armenian brandies are widely known outside the country. Their production in January-September 2016 increased by 25.1% from the year before to 13.5 million liters. -0-
