Kamaz to assemble trucks in Armenian free trade zone

Kamaz, Russia's largest manufacturer of trucks, is expected to set up a plant in Armenia’s free trade zone to assemble trucks, deputy minister of economic development and investment Hovhannes Azizyan told ARKA.

YEREVAN, October 9. /ARKA/. Kamaz, Russia's largest manufacturer of trucks, is expected to set up a plant in Armenia’s free trade zone to assemble trucks, deputy minister of economic development and investment Hovhannes Azizyan told ARKA. He said it will be an Armenian company, which, in cooperation with Kamaz and an American company, will assemble trucks and export them to third countries.
The deputy minister said there is the willingness on both sides to establish the plant and there are markets to sell the trucks to that the Armenian side can offer.
He said the decision to allow the company to establish production in the Armenian free economic zone will be taken by the government later this week. -0-
