Kazakhstan offers Armenia $348 million in export goods – Deputy Prime Minister
YEREVAN, November 21. /ARКА/. Kazakhstan has offered Armenia $348 million in export goods, said Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Economy Serik Zhumangarin.
"Yesterday, we agreed that a group of Armenian businessmen would fly to Kazakhstan. I will meet with them, and we will discuss opening joint ventures. It would be beneficial for us if Armenia could supply our western regions with fruits and vegetables," Zhumangarin told reporters in Astana.
According to him, Kazakhstan supplies Armenia with tobacco products, transformers, ferroalloys, metal products, and rolled metal products.
"They supply us with fruits and vegetables, tobacco products, and Armenian cognac, which is very popular worldwide. Trade turnover is actually small, $82 million, but compared to 2020, this is a sixfold increase. At one point, trade turnover was even higher, due to cars coming from Armenia. It was very popular. This was a temporary measure, as our own automobile production is developing very rapidly," the minister explained.
According to Armstat, exports from Armenia to Kazakhstan from January to September 2025 amounted to $41,633,800, a decline of 8%.-0-
