YEREVAN, November 21. /ARКА/. Kazakhstan is ready to regularly supply grain and other goods to Armenia, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev stated during a press briefing with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Astana.

"In November of this year, the first shipment of 1,000 tons of Kazakh wheat was delivered to Armenia via Azerbaijan. This initiative has special political and economic significance," Tokayev noted. His words were reported by local media.

"We agreed to make every effort to further develop this area. One of the priorities is the opening of direct flights between the two countries and the organization of air cargo transportation. Specific plans are already in place in this area, and the parties will begin implementing them in the near future," Tokayev said.

According to Armstat, Armenia's exports to Kazakhstan from January to September 2025 totaled $41,633,800, a year-on-year decline of 8%.

On November 7, a train carrying approximately 1,000 tons of Kazakh wheat entered Armenia's Ayrum railway station, having traveled through Kazakhstan, Russia, Azerbaijan, and Georgia.

Two days earlier, a train carrying 15 cars of Russian grain arrived in Armenia, having traveled through Azerbaijan and Georgia. This route is being used for the first time since the early 1990s, after the President of Azerbaijan announced on October 21, 2025, that all restrictions on cargo transit to Armenia through his country would be lifted.-0-
