Liquefied gas is already being sold in Armenia in kilograms, not in cubic meters, as before, Zhamanak reports. According to the media source, in spite of all assurances that the gas price will not go up, it did rise on May 1 by at least 10%, and nothing can curb the increase, even administrative measures.

The thing is that the new taxation system increases the value added tax for owners of gas-filling stations, and this drives the consumer price up. The owners, in a bid to keep their profits intact, increase the price, and this strikes hard at the final consumer. -0---
