Market inspectorate unit calls on compressed gas filling stations to strictly comply with new requirements
YEREVAN, April 3. /ARKA/. The market inspectorate unit of Armenia’s Economic Development and Investments Ministry called today on owners and  employees of compressed gas filling stations across the country to strictly comply with the new requirements and refrain from violations.

The call comes after  numerous complaints and dissatisfaction of citizens over the increased price of compressed gas used by the bulk of cars in Armenia instead of petrol.

Today’s media reports said most of the compressed  gas stations in Armenia switched from April 1 to  sale of compressed natural gas in kilograms to meet the new rules. As a result the price rose by a 40%.

The inspectorate unit of the  ministry urged the stations  to refrain from reducing and exceeding gas pressure, to follow the instructions of the National Metrology Authority, published on www.metrology.am, and be sure to issue  cash registers receipts. Otherwise, the agency will resort to more stringent control and administrative measures.

The market inspectorate unit urged also citizens to immediately contact the agency if they find any irregularities.  -0-
