YEREVAN, August 25. /ARКА/. The only Moldovan airline, Fly One, has been added to the sanctions list by Moldovan authorities due to its flights to Russia via Armenia, as reported by TASS.

According to a statement from the government publication "Official Monitor," the Information and Security Service of Moldova (ISS) has officially included Fly One in the sanctions list.

The sanctions not only target Fly One SRL but also prominent individuals within the company, including Vladimir Cebotari, the head of Fly One Moldova, who previously served as the Minister of Justice in the country.

The sanctions are linked to the actions of Vladimir Plahotniuc, the former leader of the Democratic Party, who was apprehended in Greece in July.

Cebotari is also the leader of the Modern Democratic Party of Moldova which succeeded the Democratic Party. It has filed an application with the Central Electoral Commission to take part in the upcoming parliamentary elections scheduled for September 28.
