Movement of trucks through Guguti customs checkpoint in Georgia to be restricted

The movement of trucks through the Guguti customs checkpoint in Georgia will be restricted because of large-scale repair work on the international highway Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti, the Armenian State Revenue Committee said.

YEREVAN, August 15. /ARKA/. The movement of trucks through the Guguti customs checkpoint in Georgia will be restricted because of large-scale repair work on the international highway Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti, the Armenian State Revenue Committee said.
It said restrictions will be effective from August 19 to September 30 of this year. For other types of vehicles, the road leading to the border with Armenia will be open on the 85-98th kilometer of the Ponichala-Marneuli-Guguti highway.
The Georgian Ministry of Finance asked drivers to use alternative customs checkpoints in Sadakhlo and Ninotsminda, located on the border with Armenia during this period.
The length of the Georgian-Armenian border is 224 kilometers. There are four customs checkpoints on the border : Sadakhlo, Guguti, Akhkerpi and Ninotsminda. -0--
