Multi Group to open 4 enterprises in Armenia

Two large enterprises will start operating in Armenia by the end of 2018, and another two are supposed to start operating next year, Armenian businessman and head of the Multi Group, Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters on Thursday.
YEREVAN, October 19 /ARKA/. Two large enterprises will start operating in Armenia by the end of 2018, and another two are supposed to start operating next year, Armenian businessman and head of the Multi Group, Gagik Tsarukyan told reporters on Thursday.
He said one of the enterprises slated to open later this year is a plant for the production of solar panels, and the second, locate din the town of Yeghvard, will produce towels. In 2019 Multi Group plans to open a" textile city "with the help of $1 billion worth investment. As many will be invested in the opening of a plant for the production of iron.
As a result 1 ton of iron could be sold at $1600-1800, which will have a positive impact on budget revenues in the form of taxes, and will create new jobs in Armenia, according to Tsarukyan. In his words, the opening of only two industrial enterprises will create more than a thousand jobs by the end of the year, and another several thousands in 2019.
"We need to work hard to increase investors' confidence in our country, in our legislation. Many foreign businessmen come to Armenia to start business here because of being my friends, but today they also expect the same attitude from the government. If earlier I personally was the guarantor of their investments, now I want the government to become their guarantor as well,” said Tsarukyan.
The Multi Group Concern was founded in 1998. It includes a number of enterprises engaged in a variety of activities. The total number of its employees is above 25,000. -0-
