YEREVAN, December 3. /ARKA/. A new local air company may appear in Armenia, Tatevik Revazyan, the head of the Civil Aviation Committee of Armenia, said Tuesday during the discussion of the package of amendments to the state duty law, which implies the introduction of air tax preferences.
"The application for registration of the company has already been sent to the Committee," Revazyan said. "Representatives of the company said they intend to operate flights in 13 routes."
She said that it is still difficult to predict how intensive the passenger traffic will be, since the company is just opened.
"However, the air company said that it will operate 41 flights a week, and this means that some 388,000 passenger seats will be used over one year," Revazyan said.
The company representatives also said that some 200 jobs will be opened in the next few months. -0---
