YEREVAN, August 25. /ARКА/. Gevorg Papoyan, Armenian Economy Minister, addressed the remarks made by opposition MP Garnik Danielyan regarding the alleged return of hundreds of trucks carrying agricultural products from the Upper Lars checkpoint to Armenia.

"In August, 762 trucks loaded with fruits and vegetables from Armenia entered the Russian Federation," Papoyan stated on his Facebook page.

The minister clarified that merely 4 trucks made the return journey.

"In August, a total of 2,427 trucks transporting goods from Armenia entered Russia, averaging over 101 vehicles daily. Specifically, in August, 610 trucks carried beverages, 447 transported fruits, 234 were loaded with perlite sand, 315 with vegetables, 141 with plants, 84 with processed fruits and vegetables, 75 with stone, plaster, and similar materials, 68 with fish, 79 with electrical appliances and mechanisms, 21 with cigarettes, 19 with dairy products, and 16 with knitwear that entered Russia from Armenia," Papoyan detailed.

Previously, opposition MP Garnik Danielyan claimed that numerous trucks filled with agricultural products, including plums, peaches, and grapes, were returning to Armenia from the Upper Lars checkpoint while en route to Russia. -0-
