Operation of Cheese Factory in Yeghegnadzor Suspended

YEREVAN, August 19. /ARKA/. The head of Armenia's Food Safety Inspectorate ordered to suspend the operations of the Golden Goat cheese factory in Yeghegnadzor due to a set of breaches of sanitary and hygienic regulations.
As per the report, inspectors discovered the following during their examination:
accumulations of dirt were present in the cheese ripening room, unused materials and inventory were improperly stored in the milk reception area, production zones, and packaging room, the ceilings, walls, and floors were not covered with moisture-resistant, washable materials; evidence of mold was observed. The surfaces of the doors exhibited corrosion.
The working surfaces of the tables were constructed from absorbent materials.
Certain components of the equipment and containers were not capable of being thoroughly washed and disinfected. The sinks lacked taps for both hot and cold water.
The Inspection Authority issued a statement indicating that a deadline has been established for rectifying the violations and discrepancies. -0-
