Ozon starts sales of goods from Russia in Armenia

YEREVAN, July 5. /ARKA/. Residents of Armenia can from now on buy goods from Russian e-commerce giant Ozon.

The marketplace said almost the entire range of its goods -196 million products in more than 20 categories, ranging from books and clothes to food and health care products are available to residents of Armenia.

In the first stage, customers in Armenia can get their goods through Omni Logistics' delivery services or points of delivery across the country.

The average delivery time is about 7 days. In future Ozon plans to develop its own logistics infrastructure in Armenia, including its own delivery service and a network of pickup and delivery points.

"Ozon opens new opportunities of convenient online shopping for residents of neighboring countries. The big advantage of marketplaces is the wide assortment; the choice of goods in the virtual storefront is much wider than in a regular retail store. We want to strengthen our infrastructure in the country, so that even the residents of the most remote corners of Armenia can order online and choose from a wide range of products,’ said Aleksey Sapon, Ozon Director of Operations and Development in the CIS.
