Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today a group of ethnic Armenian investors from the Diaspora, led by the chairman of the National  Union of Employers Gagik Makaryan.

YEREVAN, April 2. /ARKA/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received today a group of ethnic Armenian investors from the Diaspora, led by the chairman of the National  Union of Employers Gagik Makaryan.

Pashinyan was said by his press office to have stressed the importance of meeting with investors, improvement of the business environment, as well as discussions of various investment projects. He said  they provide an opportunity for members of the government to listen to questions and suggestions of  businessmen.

Pashinyan said also that the Armenian government welcomes the initiatives of entrepreneurs and is ready to assist in the implementation of investment projects within its capabilities. The prime minister also asked the investors to look into  his government’s  investment packages and, if possible,  take part in energy sector tenders.

Makaryan said that inspired by the events in Armenia, in the near future new groups of investors are  coming to the country, who are interested in carrying out investment projects in various fields. According to him, Armenia’s image is getting stronger  and this is a good opportunity to attract new investments.

Then investors presented projects in the fields of energy, construction and new technologies to the Prime Minister, which were discussed.

The entrepreneurs welcomed the government policies and steps designed to improve the business environment. They expressed also confidence that this will not only attract foreign investors, but will also consolidate the potential of Armenian businessmen in the Diaspora. -0-
