YEREVAN, August 23. /ARKA/. In a live Facebook stream on August 22 evening Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan promised to cut the payroll tax, saying this and some other related issues are being actively discussed by the government. ‘The government has done already a great deal of work in this direction,’ he said.
"I can say that we will simplify the tax system and reduce the payroll tax. However, I would not like to make specific statements yet, since several scenarios are being considered. We have not yet determined which model to pursue," Pashinyan said.
At the same time, he guaranteed that the changes to the Tax Code would be quite serious. Also, he said, serious changes are expected in the public procurement area and in the public administration system, which is "inflated and ineffective."
"I feel how much the state administration system is slow, so much that it becomes meaningless," Pashinyan said. --0--
