Passenger transportation in Armenia decreased by 0.9% in the first five months of 2016 when compared to the same period of 2015, to 85.6 million people, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).

YEREVAN, July 12. /ARKA/. Passenger transportation in Armenia decreased by 0.9% in the first five months of 2016 when compared to the same period of 2015, to 85.6 million people, according to the National Statistical Service (NSS).
According to the statistics, 89.6% of passengers or 76.3 million were transported by road motor transport. The electric transport accounted for 9.9% of the total or 8.5 million people; some 670,300 passengers (0.8%) were transported by air and 125,900 (0.1%) –by railway. -0-
