YEREVAN, January 8. /ARKA/. Petrol prices in Armenia are going down – the fuel is already cheaper in Armenia than in Georgia, Haykakan Zhamanak (Armenian Time) reported on Tuesday.
The most of filling stations were selling one liter of “Regular” petrol at 400 drams (around 80 cents) yesterday night, and over one month the price has shed about 10%.
Petrol has been sold at 440-450 drams (around 90 cents) per liter all year trough and began slipping in early December 2018.
No official explanation of the decrease has come so far, but according to some rumors, a new player has appeared at the market.
The media source finds this very remarkable, since petrol prices at the international market are going up and the fuel in Armenia is cheaper than in Georgia for the first time.
However, it is not known whether petrol prices will continue their downward motion in Armenia or not. --0----
