YEREVAN, July 4. /ARKA/.  Picodi.com has calculated based on Armenia’s National Statistical Committee’s official data that an average monthly salary is enough to buy 335 liters of petrol. The average Armenian salary is 141,545 drams (about $296), while the average price of AI-95 petrol is $0.88 (approximately 420 drams) per liter. 

In terms of this indicator, Armenia is at the same level as its oil-producing neighbor Azerbaijan, where the average salary is enough to buy 354 liters of petrol.

The figures for former USSR republics are the following  Russia - 887 liters (1l - $0.70), Estonia - 872 liters (1l - $1.49), Lithuania - 844 liters (1l - $1.28), Kazakhstan - 825 liters (1l - $0.45), Latvia - 650 liters (1l - $1.37), Belarus - 528 liters (1l - $0.76), Georgia - 434 liters (1l - $0.88), Kyrgyzstan - 305 liters (1l - $0.63), Moldova - 298 liters (1l - $1.03), Ukraine - 258 liters (1l - $1.09), Uzbekistan - 238 liters (1l - $0.89) and Tajikistan - 131 liters (1l - $ 0. 81).

The world leaders are the three Persian Gulf countries: Qatar – 6,476 liters (1l - $0.48), Kuwait – 5,251 (1l - $0.36) and the United Arab Emirates – 4,922 liters (1l - $0.56). The absolute champion is Venezuela, where the average salary will buy 14 billion liters of petrol, since the cost of one liter is $0.000000002. Least of all petrol will buy an average salary in Cuba - 26 liters at a price of $1.18 per liter. -0-
