Pobeda low-cost airline to operate flights from St. Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don to Armenian Gyumri

Russian low -cost airline Pobeda (a division of Aeroflot) has received the approval of Armenia’s aviation authorities to operate regular flights from Russian Saint Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don to Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri, the administrative center of the northwestern province of Shirak.

YEREVAN, February 16. /ARKA/. Russian low -cost airline Pobeda (a division of Aeroflot) has received the approval of Armenia’s aviation authorities to operate regular flights from Russian Saint Petersburg and Rostov-on-Don to Armenia’s second largest city of Gyumri, the administrative center of the northwestern province of Shirak.

Armenia’s Main Civil Aviation Department said the flights from St. Petersburg to Gyumri and back to St. Petersburg from April 18 to October 27 will be carried out twice a week. Flights from Rostov-on-Don to Gyumri and back to Rostov-on-Don will also be carried out twice a week from May 25 to September 14. The cost of air tickets was not announced.

Currently Pobeda makes seven flights a week from Moscow to Gyumri and back. In 2017 the airline transported 4.6 million passengers, selling at least 350,000 tickets at the minimum price of 499 rubles (less than $10), including all airport taxes. -0-
