YEREVAN, October 29. /ARKA/. Armenian Police said a group of people running a wholesale flower market in the territory of the National Stadium in Yerevan have failed to pay a total of 98 million drams in taxes.

Police said in a statement today they have evidence that the flower market acted from November 2003 to July 2018 without a special permission of the Ministry of Finance. More precisely, the people who ran the flower market,  collected 160 thousand drams daily from flower sellers  showing in their books only a 149, 519, 905 dram turnover, down from  the actual 849,600, 000 dram turnover. Besides, they also avoided paying 10 million drams as a state duty for the license.

The Police also revealed that the administration of the National Stadium concluded a lease agreement with an individual entrepreneur, who conducted illegal economic activity (sale of flowers) since 2018 August without the special permission from the Ministry of Finance causing a damage in the amount of 2 million drams.

Police said the criminal case is being handled by the Investigation Department of the State Revenue Committee. -0-
