Popularity of Armenian wines is growing in Russia
YEREVAN, November 14. /ARKA/. Wine importers in Russia report an increasing demand for Armenian wines, says Russian business daily ‘Kommersant.’
Luding Group’s marketing director Andrey Ushakov told the paper that Russian retailers are selling more Armenian wines of medium segment, while high segment wines are in demand in wine boutiques and HoReCa.
According to him, Luding Group has increased sales of wines produced by Karas Winery, its largest partner in Armenia, by 120%.
Alexander Stavtsev, head of WineRetail Information Center, notes that it is difficult to estimate the volume of wine imports from Armenia, but this year wine supplies from Armenia should have increased sharply, as reported by Armenian wineries.
According to Stavtsev, the Russian market in general has a shortage of wine in the low-price segment - up to 300 rubles per bottle - after the disappearance of drinks from foreign wine materials. --0--
