Prime minister confirms Russia will cut the price of natural gas for Armenia

Armenia's prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan has confirmed today that Russia will cut the price of natural gas shipped to Armenia, but added that there was no clarity yet about how much the price could be decreased.
YEREVAN, March 25. /ARKA/. Armenia's prime minister Hovik Abrahamyan has confirmed today that Russia will cut the price of natural gas shipped to Armenia, but added that there was no clarity yet about how much the price could be decreased.
Speaking to reporters he said negotiations were still underway. 'There is no doubt that the price will be reduced. It is a fact. The question is how much", said Abrahamyan.
According to reports in Armenian media, the final price of Russian gas for Armenia will be announced by Russian prime minister Dmitry Medvedev during his upcoming visit to Yerevan on April 7. Medvedev will arrive in Armenia 7 to attend a meeting of the Intergovernmental Council of the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU).
Russia lowered the price for gas to Armenia from $189 to $165 per 1,000 cubic meters in 2015 September.-0-
