Quarter of IT companies with guaranteed loans register new business

About 25 percent of small and medium-sized IT companies whose loans were guaranteed by the Armenian National Centre for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, registered a new business, according to Lilit Apujanyan, the Center’s coordinator of international programs.

About 25 percent of small and medium-sized IT companies whose loans were guaranteed by the Armenian National Centre for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises, registered a new business, according to Lilit Apujanyan, the Center’s coordinator of international programs.
Speaking at a news conference today she said the National Center for Development of Small and Medium Enterprise provides a 100 percent guarantee for loans for small and medium-sized IT start-ups.
According to her, the loan amount is up to 5 million drams, repayable in up to 5 years with a 10 percent interest rate. Under this program the startup company may not necessarily have a financial record.
She said the National Centre for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises seeks to help improve the efficiency of SMEs and provide them with information and consulting assistance. From 2006 to 2013 the Center guaranteed 500 million drams worth loans for SMEs. -0-
